“The Story of Our Salvation.”
This Sunday, we’re starting a new message series at Southwest called “The Story of Our Salvation.” The goal of this series is to help us see the Bible as one unified story that ultimately leads to Jesus. Although it was written by multiple people in different places and languages over a span of roughly 1,500 years, the Bible is nevertheless a cohesive narrative that culminates in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
Sometimes, when we study the Bible, it’s easy to lose sight of how each book or chapter connects to the larger story—God’s pursuit of a relationship with us and His work to rescue and restore a lost and broken world through the sacrifice of his son. But there truly is a big-picture story that unfolds from Genesis to Revelation, and we hope to share that story in a clear and meaningful way over the course of the summer.
We also hope this series helps us see that the Bible is not just a story of what happened long ago—it’s a story that God is inviting us to join by connecting our story to His. Please join us in praying that this journey through the Bible will be an encouraging time together and that it will help us more clearly understand the depth of God’s love for us and our shared need for a Savior.
Blessings,
