This Sunday (9/6) at 9 a.m. we will be having a Prayer Service instead of our usual Shepherding Groups. (Children from Cradle Roll through High School will have Bible classes in their new grade classrooms.)

We have begun the process of selecting new elders for Southwest, and step one is to pray that God would bless the process!

We will be reading from God's Word, we will hear prayers from our current elders and we will have a time of personal prayer as we launch this selection process.

Please plan to attend this 9 a.m. Prayer Service in the auditorium and let's pray without ceasing!

Women of all ages are invited to sign up to attend "In the Word" conference in Lincoln to be held August 28-29, Friday evening 7-9 PM and Saturday morning, 9 AM -12:30 PM.

Speaker Jen Wilkins has authored several of our women's Bible studies in the past. Her insights on the Lord's prayer will be a great kick-off for our fall focus on women's ministry.

Also offered is a bonus all-day Leadership Training on Friday for those who'd like to be more involved with women's ministry or want to improve their leadership skills in the home or the workplace.

The discounted rate is $75 for the conference only, or $140 if you wish to also attend the bonus Leadership Training all day on Friday. These discounted rates are guaranteed if you sign up no later than June 28. Scholarships are available!

All Children's Education Ministry teachers/teacher assistants/nursery attendants are invited to an appreciation meal on Saturday, August 15th, at 5:30 pm in the gym.

Dr. Jared Pack, history professor at York University, will provide inspiration and humor in a presentation following the meal.

Childcare will be provided for children under 12 years of age. RSVP is required to plan on food and child care needs.

We hope you’ll join us for a special Back to School Blessing service on Sunday, August 9th at 10 a.m.

During this service, we will be praying over and blessing all the students, parents of students, and educators as they prepare for the start of a new school year. We hope to come together as a family of believers to encourage our brothers and sisters in Christ and remind them they have a church family who loves and cares for them. Please consider inviting your friends and family who are students, parents of students, or educators so they can participate in this special Back to School Blessing as well.
