Our Mission:
The church exists to develop lifelong disciples of Jesus who glorify God, love others, and make more disciples.
Our Vision:
We strive to be a diverse church family where each individual commits to growing with God, connecting in community, and living like Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit.
When Jesus was asked about the most important commandment, He answered simply, “Love God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind and all your strength, and love your neighbor as you love yourself.” (Luke 10:27)
At Southwest, we encourage everyone to examine their relationship with Jesus and commit to following Him (also called “being a disciple.”) We believe that following Jesus brings life to the believer and all those around them. Jesus doesn’t just encourage us to love Him, but to love everyone.
As we continue to love, Jesus also commands us “make disciples of all nations.” (Matt. 28:19) We don’t make disciples to fill our seats, or meet our budget, but to point all people to Jesus. He modeled a better way for us: Love others by meeting their needs and extending grace, share a meal with people, invite people to follow Jesus and learn more about His kingdom.
