BIBLE CLASSES

We believe in on-going Bible study because it is easy to misinterpret the Bible and sometimes, miss the main point entirely. You can find hidden treasures and applications even if it’s your 571st time to read a passage of scripture!

Southwest offers many different classes at various times throughout the week. Sunday morning Bible Classes start at 9:00am. Below you will find more information about the current classes as well as supplemental materials available for certain classes.

  • Fall 2026 Adult Bible Classes

    “God’s View of Governments (A Study of 1 Peter)” – Curt DeBoer (Fellowship Hall)

    “The Bible and History” – Chuck McCoy (Room 16/17)

    “What’s the Point? - Finding Meaning in Ecclesiastes” - Franklin Wood (Room 18/19)

    **NOTE: On the first Sunday of each month, adults will be asked to attend a Shepherding Group in lieu of class time.

  • Banister Study Group - This group is open to all, and it meets at 7:00 PM on Wednesdays throughout the year (Fellowship Hall.)

    Discovery Bible Study - Discover what the Bible really says, ask honest questions, and learn how God’s truth applies to real life. This group is open to all and meets Wednesdays @ 6:30 PM in Room 21.

    Women’s Study Group - This is a smaller group of women that meet for study and encouragement. Open to all ladies and meets from 6:30 - 8:00 PM in Room 16/17.

  • Tuesday Morning Ladies' Class - (9:30am in the Fellowship Hall)

    Bryan Fojtasek will be guiding us through a study of “The Holy Spirit.”

    All ladies are welcome!

    Childcare is available, so please let the office know if you plan to attend regularly. Questions can be directed to Bryan or to Kayla Banister or Sara Vogltanz.

  • This is a small group of men that gathers to study God’s word and encourage each other as husbands, fathers and men. The group meets every Tuesday at 6:30 AM in the Conference Room.

  • Sunday Bible classes are held at 9:00 AM for children ages 3 months to 6th Grade.

    *Guests, please stop by our Welcome Table and a member of our Welcome Team will help you and your children find their class!
