Welcome to the Family
The Welcome to the Family Seminar is coming next Sunday (April 26th) and we are praying fervently for the Spirit to be at work! Please make every effort to attend this seminar...it is not just for the “outgoing” people, but it’s something every church member should work on...hospitality.
The Bible tells us several times to “be hospitable.” Hospitality is when someone receives or treats guests or strangers warmly and generously. It is about making a guest feel seen and special. It is about making them feel at home.
“Do to others as you would have them do to you,” Jesus commands in Luke 6:31. How would you like to be treated if you were a guest? Would you like people to smile at you, greet you, maybe introduce you to a few people? Would you like it if a host fed you? While we may expect different things, there are many things we could agree on that would make us feel welcome.
Heb 13:2 encourages us, “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.”
Let us be known as people who are warm and hospitable toward guests.
I hope to see you at the Welcome to the Family Seminar next Sunday!
Blessings,
Franklin
