Resting in the Busy-ness

Summer is right around the corner. If you’re anything like me, that means life is about to get a whole lot busier! Between Nebraska Youth Camp, Soul Quest, Colorado Mission Trip and all the other activities we’ll have on the calendar, it can begin to feel a little overwhelming.

With all the fun activities that summer has to offer, it’s more important than ever to take time to rest with God. Jesus says this in Matthew 28:11, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” This isn’t just about physical rest but deep, soul-refreshing peace that comes from trusting Him. No matter how heavy life’s burdens feel, Jesus invites us to lay them at His feet. His love carries us, His grace strengthens us, and His presence calms every storm in our hearts.

Summer is a very busy time for a lot of us. And while a lot of it can be fun, it can be very draining at times. May we be intentional with our time this summer and make time to rest with God.
