Pouring Into The Next Generation

Last weekend, our youth group had the great opportunity to attend a youth rally in Council Bluffs, and it was an unforgettable experience. Centered around the theme “Guilty as Charged” from Romans 3:23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of Gods glorious standard,” the weekend challenged our students to honestly confront the reality of sin while also pointing them to the hope found in Jesus. Throughout the rally, our students connected with other teens, built new friendships, and enjoyed plenty of fun games and activities that made the whole experience both meaningful and memorable.

What truly set the weekend apart was the powerful combination of heartfelt worship, led by our own Charlie Gentry, and solid, Bible-centered teaching. Students were not only energized by the worship services but also deeply impacted by the messages from God’s Word, which encouraged them to reflect on their own lives and their need for grace. It was exciting to see our group engage, grow, and take steps forward in their faith. We’re so thankful for opportunities like this that remind our students they are part of something bigger—and that God is actively at work in their lives.

As a church family, this is where you come in. The spiritual growth we saw over the weekend doesn’t happen in isolation—it flourishes through ongoing encouragement, prayer, and investment from the entire congregation. We invite you to pray for our students, ask them about their experience, and continue to pour into the next generation. Galatians 6:9 reminds us, So lets not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we dont give up.” Let’s be a church that faithfully supports and disciples our young people, trusting that God will continue to grow the seeds that were planted this past weekend.
