A Mother’s Day Blessing…
As a children’s minister, I have the joy of seeing how God works through families—and especially through moms. So often, a child’s first experience of God's love comes through the steady presence of a mother, a grandmother, or a spiritual mentor. Whether it's packing a snack bag for church, whispering a prayer over a sleeping child, answering curious faith questions, or offering hugs in the middle of a tough day—moms show us what the comforting, faithful heart of God looks like in everyday life.
Isaiah 66:13 says, “As a mother comforts her child, so I will comfort you.” That kind of comfort is powerful. It’s gentle but strong, patient but firm, ordinary but sacred. Motherhood is often quiet work—but it echoes through generations.
To every mom, grandma, aunt, foster mom, and spiritual mother: your love matters deeply. You’re doing holy work—even when it doesn’t feel like it. God sees you, your church sees you, and your children feel your love more than you know. We are so grateful for you. Happy Mother’s Day! YOU are a blessing to this church and to the kingdom of God.
