Over the last several weeks, our youth group has been going through a series called Gospelize: Living the Gospel Every Day. We've spent time talking about the importance of prayer, understanding the Gospel, making disciples, and being intentional about sharing Jesus with the people around us. One thing I've really wanted our students to understand is that sharing Jesus isn't just something we talk about at church. It's something we're called to do wherever God has placed us.
Now that we've finished Gospelize, we're spending November putting what we've learned into practice through a Gospel Challenge! We're encouraging our students to pray for people in their lives who don't know Jesus, look for opportunities to have conversations about faith, and be willing to share the Gospel. Each week, we'll spend time encouraging one another, sharing how things are going, and praying for the people we're trying to reach.
I'd love for our church family to encourage our students throughout this challenge! Ask them what they've been learning, who they're praying for, and how things are going. Most importantly, pray for them! My hope is that this challenge helps our students grow more confident in sharing their faith, but I also hope it encourages all of us to be more intentional about sharing Jesus with the people God has placed in our lives.
