The Power of Encouragement
As a mom and children’s minister, I see all the time how powerful encouragement can be. Kids light up when someone notices their effort or says, “I’m proud of you.” Grown-ups are the same way. We all need reminders that we are seen, loved, and not alone.
The Bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:11, “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.” Encouragement doesn’t have to be fancy or long. Sometimes it’s a smile, a kind word, or even a quick text. Have you ever had one of those days when you felt worn out, and then your phone buzzed with an encouraging message? Suddenly the day feels a little brighter. Just a few words of hope can make such a difference.
This week, I want to encourage you to try it. Send a quick text, write a short note, or tell someone face to face that you appreciate them. Our words can lift heavy hearts and remind people of God’s love. Let’s be a church family that spreads encouragement wherever we go.
